a individual template made to be used for a specific named category
or product. These template files CANNOT be edited by you
they can only be edited by our staff. These template files are
however wrapped in HTML header and footer files that you can
edit.

are configured. These header and footer files can be used to
insert HTML code in to fixed points in the category and its associated
products pages or just the category alone. This setting is global

Sheets

Controlling
The Look - Basket and Checkout pages (E-Com pages)
Unlike
the product catalogue pages these pages reside on the Security-Payment.com
Secure Server. The various page of the basket and checkout process
are fixed and cannot be changed. The look of these pages is controlled
via HTML Header and Footer files and a Style Sheet. Any images
within theses header and footer files must be uploaded into the
file manager within the control panel and must be pathed correctly
in order to work. Any links from these files back to you website
must be full URL pathed. In the E-Com Header you also need to
include a link back to the shop.css file in your file manager.
The
default name for these files are:
- ecom_header.html
- ecom_footer.html
All
these HTML files and Style Sheets are located within the file
manager of the Retailer Control Panel. This allows you to edit
and replace them as required.
The
below are diagrams of the 2 main template structures currently
used. If you wish to add a category header or footer to a given
category then please follow the instructions earlier in this
document. If you wish to edit the Product Catalogue or E-Com
Header & Footer files or the style sheet the this can be
done by accessing the files in your file manager. You should
be careful changing these files are they will effect all the
pages within the product catalogue. If 3 Legs Ltd are required
to correct any changes you make then this will be chargeable.
The
yellow and green sections in the diagrams below are specified
by the templates files and cannot be edited by you. The visual
look can be controlled via the shop.css stylesheet and the data
and images added to the Security-Payment.com system.
Template
Structure 1

In
this structure both the category and the product pages both use
the category header and footer.
This means that any HTML specified in the a header or footer file would also
appear in the product
pages of any product in that category.
Template
Structure 2

In
this structure only the category page uses the category header
and footer.
This means that any HTML specified in the a header or footer file would only
appear in that
given category and not any product contained within the given category.
If
you require changes to the way that the sub-categories or the
product information is displayed then these will need to be made
via the template. These files are currently not accessible by
clients and any changes need to be made by 3 Legs Ltd. This
is due to the special language used for the templates and to
ensure that any changes do not break the export process.
